Suspect In Warsaw Shooting Arrested In Noble County

ALBION - Police in Noble County Tuesday arrested a suspect on a warrant in a Warsaw shooting.

John C. Bradley IV, 24, of Kimmel, was arrested on a Kosciusko County warrant for aggravated battery around 3 p.m. Tuesday. He also faces burglary and residential entry charges in Noble County.

Bradley is accused of being the shooter in an early-Monday morning incident that left one man injured.According to the Warsaw Police Department, around 1:12 a.m. Monday, Paul Vines, 28, of Market Street, Warsaw, was walking near the intersection of West Jefferson and South Columbia Streets when he was shot by a person in a dark-colored car.

As Vines walked on Jefferson Street, a dark-colored sedan approached southbound on Columbia Street. People in the car reportedly confronted Vines and three shots were allegedly fired from inside.

One of the shots hit Vines in the left leg, and he later was treated for the bullet wound at Kosciusko Community Hospital and released.

Vines reportedly identified Bradley as the shooter, sayng the two have had a recent feud.

After Warsaw police identified Bradley as the alleged shooter, Noble County authorities were notified.

According to the News-Sun newspaper in Kendallville, Bradley was arrested by the Noble County Sheriff's Department and Northeastern Indiana SWAT Tuesday afternoon at his home on Smalley Lake in western Noble County.

Bradley was arrested at his home in the 8000 block of Sequoia Way after police received word at 12:28 p.m. Tuesday that he was at his home. At 12:49 p.m., the Noble County Special Operations Group was called out. SWAT officers were joined by members of the Northeastern Indiana SWAT team, and they surrounded the home.

At 2:14 p.m., Noble County Chief Deputy Doug Harp told dispatchers Bradley was in custody without incident.

Police are still looking for other people who were in the vehicle at the time of the shooting as well as the vehicle itself. The car did not belong to Bradley.

Detectives from the Warsaw Police Department will interview Bradley about the shooting incident today.

The incident remains under investigation by the Warsaw Police Department.
