Jan. 23 update: The time for the event has been changed to 2 to 4 p.m.

U.S Congressman Marlin Stutzman has filed paperwork with the Indiana Secretary of State’s office to seek re-election in Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District.

The primary is May 8, and the general election is Nov. 6.

An open house with Stutzman will be Jan. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Boathouse office, 700 Park Avenue, Winona Lake. The open house will be an opportunity for the community to share their concerns with Stutzman.

“I have been humbled by the opportunity to represent Northeast Indiana in Congress since 2010 and look forward to continuing to stand strong for our region and Hoosier values,” Stutzman said in a press release.

“Voters sent me to Washington with a clear goal of shrinking government’s role in their lives, returning to a balanced budget, and reducing our nation’s debt so that the private sector can grow and once again create jobs and opportunities for Hoosier families.”

He said he remains thankful for the trust that voters have placed in him during his time in Congress. He looks forward to continuing to represent Northeast Indiana as it works to return the nation to prosperity.

Indiana’s new 3rd Congressional District includes all of Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Jay, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties, as well as portions of Blackford and Kosciusko counties.
