State Rep., Congressional, County Offices Up For Election In 2014

State representative, congressional and county officers are up for election in 2014. The filing period is Jan. 8 through Feb. 7. The primary is May 6, and the general election is Nov. 4. According to Randy Girod, Kosciusko County Republican chairman, offices up for election next year include congress, state representative, county commissioner (Southern District), county council (districts 1, 2, 3 and 4), prosecuting attorney, sheriff, county auditor, county assessor and county recorder. Superior Courts 1, 2 and 3 judges seats also are up for election; Syracuse Town Council (two seats, Wards 1 and 2); Township Trustee (all 17 townships); and Township Advisory Board (all 17 townships). Only on the general election ballot will be Indiana secretary of state, state auditor; state treasurer and school board.
