Indiana State Police officials will seek federal charges against the alledged operators of a marijuana growing operation discovered just outside of Warsaw.
Around 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, the Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force served a warrant at 808 E. CR 400S, Warsaw, for the operation.
The teams found 129 marijuana plants, processed marijuana and paraphernalia. The estimated street value for outdoor marijuana plants in Indiana is between $1,500-$2000 each.
When the warrant was served, a resident of the home was found tending the marijuana plants. The resident was not arrested Tuesday because the Indiana State Police are pursuing federal charges.
The resident, who was not identified, faces federal charges of cultivating/possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
Anyone with information about illegal drug use or the cultivation of marijuana should contact the Indiana State Police at 888-873-1694 or the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force at 574-267-5667.
