Stabbing In Leesburg Sends Woman To Hospital

LEESBURG – Kosciusko County officers are investigating a stabbing Sunday between a mother and her adult daughter.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies were advised of a potential stabbing Sunday around 1 p.m. at 4418 N. Sullivan Road, Leesburg.
North Webster Deputy Marshal Dave May arrived and found the victim, Ada F. Dill, 60, who was suffering from a puncture wound to the chest. Officers also found the suspect, identified as Stephanie Nelson, 28, who is Dill’s daughter.
Initial investigation by officers determined that Nelson had been conversing with her mother in the kitchen when she suddenly brandished a knife and allegedly stabbed her once in the chest.
Paramedics from the North Webster/Tippecanoe Township EMS arrived and immediately transported Dill to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, in serious condition. Nelson was transported to  Kosciusko Community Hospital for evaluation.
The incident is still under investigation and will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office for review, according to sheriff’s deputies.
