Silver Lake Woman Hospitalized after Morning Crash

An early crash this morning north of Claypool sent a Silver Lake woman to the hospital.
Amanda M. Gaerte, 35, Silver Lake, was traveling at approximately 7:38 a.m. this morning on Kinsey Road, just south of Hoppus Road, when she lost control of her white 2008 GMC and went off the roadway near a swamp area off the shoulder.
Gaerte was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital in fair condition with hip and leg pain.
Damage was estimated at approximately $5,000 to $10,000 to Gaerte's vehicle.
