Sheriff's Detectives Still Seeking Girl One Month after Disappearance

Posted
Aurora Shoemaker has been missing almost a month, but Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Detectives are still searching for her.

Shoemaker went missing on Aug. 16 after she told her mother, Lauretta Shoemaker, that she was going for a walk. Shoemaker did not return and her mother reported her missing.

Lt. Todd Sautter said that Shoemaker’s disappearance is still an active case, but there has been no new information recently.

Sautter also stated that they have investigated the leads they have received, but those tips have not assisted in the location of Shoemaker.

Sautter further said that they have no valid reason to believe that Aurora is in danger or that foul play is involved with her disappearance.

KCSD detectives have been in contact with the Shoemaker family and understand that the disappearance is a traumatic experience that no parent would want to happen, Sautter said.

KCSD detectives will continue to search for clues in the disappearance of Shoemaker and follow each and every lead.

If anyone has information on the disappearance of Aurora Shoemaker call the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department at 574-267-5667 and ask for KCSD detectives.
