Kosciusko and Whitley County Sheriff’s departments are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two Wabash County men on allegations of home improvement fraud.
Kosciusko and Whitley County officers are currently attempting to locate two men from the community of Disko which is located on Ind. 114 at the Fulton/Wabash County line.
Felony and misdemeanor warrants on allegations of home improvement fraud have been issued by Kosciusko County for Bobby J. Allison, 22, and his brother Elvis A. Allison, 26, Silver Lake.
Whitley County also has active felony warrants of home improvement fraud for both brothers. The warrants were issued in October following a complaint last July from a Columbia City area woman.
The woman told Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies that her elderly brother wrote four checks totalling $25,000 to three men, allegedly with a business called Asphalt Services, to make enhancements to a driveway on her brother’s farm.
The third man, George A. Martin of Whitley County, was sentenced to five years in jail in Whitley County July 8 for his role in the blacktopping fraud.
Bobby and Elvis Allison are notorious for a variety of residential home improvement scams that have been occurring in Whitley and Kosciusko counties, authorities say. Elvis Allison is described as a white male, 5’3”, 130 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Bobby Allison is described as a white male, 5’9”, 250 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Citizens are being asked to contact either the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department at 574-267-5667 or the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department at 260-244-6410 if they have information related to the location of either individual.
