Since December, Service Liquors, South Lake Street, Warsaw, has been working with the state alcohol prosecutor to clear a violation.
As of the Alcoholic Beverage Commission meeting Thursday, the business was still trying to clear it up. Their dealer permit for beer, wine and liquor was up for renewal.
Allegedly, a minor purchased a bottle of alcohol from Service Liquors. A Service Liquor employee has said the minor had an ID, but the videotape of the purchase is unclear.
Because the violation has not yet been cleared, Excise Officer and ABC member Patty Fleck delayed the permit renewal until the July 1 meeting.
In other business, the ABC:
Approved the renewals for a beer, wine and liquor and Sunday sales retailer permit for Bud's Bar, Main Street, Milford. The permits were continued from the June 3 ABC meeting due to a violation against the bar, and the business had not yet taken care of the $500 fine at that point.
Bud's Bar was cited for credit sales, which are illegal.
Approved the renewal of the beer and wine retailer permit for Sportsman Bar, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. The permit was then transferred from the late Robert Smith to Huntington Street Bar & Grill, Syracuse. The board then approved a new beer, wine and liquor retailer permit and a Sunday sales retailer permit for the bar.
Approved the beer, wine and liquor and Sunday sales retailer permits for Homer's Hideaway, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. The business was cited for not having a tobacco certificate, which is required for any business selling cigarettes. Homer's fine was $250.
Approved the beer, wine and liquor and Sunday sales retailer permits renewal for Ramada Plaza Hotel, East Center Street, Warsaw.
Approved the beer and wine and Sunday sales retailer permits renewal for Pizza King, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw.
