Santa, Mrs. Claus, and reindeer will be visiting Warsaw Central Park Friday. The event is from 7 to 9 p.m. The visit is part of the annual Light Up The Night event hosted by Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department. The free event kicks off the first night of the Central Park Holiday Light Display, and the community is encouraged to come and enjoy the more than 200,000 lights and displays in the park. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the park on a fire truck at 7 p.m. to mingle with the community. The reindeer will be on hand for the full two-hour event, and kids can pet and interact with them. Visitors to the display can enjoy live music from the Glover Pavilion stage, including the Madison and Washington elementary schools combined choirs at 7:15 p.m. and the Lincoln and Leesburg elementary school combined choirs around 8 p.m. The first 500 children in the park also will receive a holiday glow necklace to become part of the light display. Other kids activities are planned as well. For more information, call 574-372-9554 or email parksevents@warsaw.in.gov
