Santa Claus will fly in the WIOE Jetcopter for the Warsaw Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program Dec. 14. If the weather is poor, then Santa will ride to all the locations inside the Oldies 98.3FM RV. Each Santa visit is 35 to 40 minutes. The flight plan is to fly from the station helicopter’s home base at the Warsaw Municipal Airport across the street to the Warsaw Wal-Mart at 10 a.m. then to the Marsh Grocery store on Warsaw’s south side. The next flight is to the Owen’s and J.B.’s Furniture parking lot. The last leg of Santa’s flight that day is to the Warsaw K-Mart parking lot. The Warsaw police are assisting Salvation Army officials in clearing the parking lots so the helicopter can safely land with Santa.
