The fourth annual Russ Spangle’s Ride and Car Show to benefit Heartline Pregnancy Center was in July.
The event was in partnership with New Life Christian Church and World Outreach.
The group presented Heartline Pregnancy Center Inc. with a check for the proceeds of the July 21 event held at New Life.
There were 61 riders who participated in the motorcycle run that left New Life and traveled to Syracuse and back.
There were 15 car enthusiasts who displayed their classic and award-winning cars for the event. Following the ride a meal was served.
Spangle was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who passed away from cancer in 2010.
Diana Price, one of the organizers of the event said, “Heartline was chosen to be the benefactor of the proceeds because of the reputation, the integrity, and faithfulness that Heartline has shown in serving the community.”
“We wanted the proceeds to go to a local Christian organization that has proven itself and is making a difference in peoples’ lives.”
In appreciation, Angie Wood, executive director of Heartline, said, “With the help of the local community, the funds raised allow Heartline to continue meeting the needs of women and babies in our county experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.”
