Rozie Deli Takes Over from Bogey's

Lighter and brighter, the Rozie Deli is moving toward a more family-friendly environment.

Located on Rozella Ford Golf Course, the deli inhabits what is formerly Bogey’s.

With a lighter and brighter aesthetic, the Rozie Deli has moved to a non-smoking establishment and looks to cater first off to the golfers who are on the course.

Rozella Ford golf pro Bo Wright joined with his wife, Tanna, to open Rozie Deli.

The Wrights said it was important to have a place for the golfers to feel comfortable.

The lounge area of the deli has the feel of a golf clubhouse.

The menu features light fare of hot and cold sandwiches, soups and salads, along with homemade baked goods every day.

From cinnamon buns to granola to brownies, the deli offers a wide range of homemade goods.

Each day a different hot sandwich, like pulled pork or barbecue beef, will be featured.

“Everything is homemade,” said Bo Wright. “That was really important for us.”

The deli is also primed to do catering events both at Rozie Deli and offsite.

The Wrights said they are gearing up for graduation parties and wedding receptions this summer.

They are also working with local business to cater meetings and events.

The venue can hold up to 165 people.

Along with moving to a non-smoking establishment, the Rozie Deli only serves beer. For events they also serve wine.

Tanna Wright said she wanted kids and families to always feel comfortable in the deli.

“It’s great now that kids can utilize this space,” said Tanna Wright.

The deli is also capable of filing up golfers’ coolers with ice as they get ready to go out and play a round.

The opportunity for the Wrights to open Rozie Deli came as Tanna was dealing with damage to her former business Crazy Day Gourmet.

That business sustained serious flooding earlier this year.

Prior to opening Rozie Deli, Tanna said she hoped to open something with her husband at the golf course but had not yet received the go ahead from the golf club’s board of directors.

After Crazy Day Gourmet had to temporarily shut down, the board gave the go ahead.

Crazy Day Gourmet has since reopened with Wright’s former partners.

Tanna said while the offer to open Rozie Deli came at an odd time, it was what she wanted to ultimately do.

Now the husband and wife team can both work at the same place.

The deli will keep similar hours to the pro shop, and its summer hours will be from around 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As for events and gatherings, Tanna said the deli only requires about a week lead time.

So far, the response to the change at what is now Rozie Deli has been positive.

“The coolest part is recently Don and Sandra Dicken came in. And they’re like the father and mother of Rozella. And they were so ecstatic for all the changes,” said Bo Wright. “That meant a lot.”
