Last week, Royal Building Products issued notices to around 70 employees at its facility in Milford that it will be closing the plant in Kosciusko County in early 2012.
Due to The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, the company notified the workers Dec. 13.
Citing a downturn in the housing market, Georgia Gulf, the parent company of Royal Building Products, made the decision.
Royal Building Products was acquired by Georgia Gulf in 2006.
Georgia Gulf was founded in 1985 and employs 3,600 employees.
The manufacture, according to a company statement, will be discontinuned and much of its decking and rail product lines will be moved to other facilites.
