Robotics Exhibition Gathers Food for Father's House

More than 300 pounds of food was gathered for Our Father’s House during the first Warsaw Vex Robotics Exhibition Saturday. Plymouth Community Schools donated the most food – 95 pounds – winning them the Community Service Award during the tournament at the Warsaw Career Center Gym. The award was sponsored by Warsaw Optimist Club. Marbelous Alliance Champions were Grant Monsma and Patrick Mosher, Warsaw Area Career Center team “Carl,” Northwestern Middle School team “Vexed Tigers #1.” The award was sponsored by Tornier and Biomet. Marbelous Alliance Runner-Up Champions were Nick Moore, John McGurn and Tristan Hamilton with Warsaw Area Career Center team “Warsaw Robotics,” and Derek Ault, Brandon Cervantes, Kyle Harter and Marcelo Brito with team “We Tried.” The award was sponsored by Symmetry Medical and Ivy Tech North Central Region Full Pull Champions: Carroll Consolidaded School Corp. Award sponsor was Paragon Medical. Full Pull Runner-up was Plymouth Community Schools. The award was sponsored by the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation. The exhibition was presented by the WACC Engineering/Technology Department. Schools in attendance were WACC, Washington STEM Academy, Carroll (Flora), Northwestern Middle School, Plymouth Community Schools and Fort Wayne Carroll. Sponsors were Tornier, Warsaw Optimist Club, Biomet, Symmetry Medical, Ivy Tech, Paragon Medical and the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation. Volunteers came from Ivy Tech, Dalton Foundry, Biomet and Symmetry Medical.
