No matter how slight the damage you received because of the recent flooding, Kosciusko County Emergency Management Director Ed Rock wants you to report it.
For those who have sustained any amount of flood damage, there is a Web site to report it. The Web site is at https://oas.in.gov/hs/dev/flood/public
For the area to get a Federal Emergency Management Declaration, there must be enough reports of damage.
Rock said that anywhere homes are located near lakes or any other body of water, the chances are there is flood damage.
The Tippecanoe River is supposed to reach its highest point tonight before it recedes. There is no more rainfall expected in the area until at least Tuesday.
As reported in the Times-Union Thursday, an elderly couple had to be evacuated from its home on Sunset Drive in Warsaw. There also was a call to evacuate an elderly couple at Ridinger Lake.
Those who are forced to evacuate are asked to turn off all gas and electricity if they can.The following roads remain closed:
CR 1200S between CR 400E and Ind. 13
- CR 900S between CR 400E and Ind. 13
- CR 400E between CRs 850S and 900S
- CR 400W between CRs 750S and 800S
- CR 1200S between Ind. 15 and Peru
- CR 350S between CRs 25W and 350W
- Sellers Lake between West Channel Road (CR 600S) and Maple Grove
- CR 900S between CR 200N and Ind. 15
- Sellers Lake between Woodland Drive and Lake Shore Drive
