What could be the last caucus in Kosciusko County for 2025 has been called.
Due to the resignation of Clay Township Trustee Stephanie Stutzman, effective Dec. 31, Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chairman Mike Ragan announced the caucus Friday afternoon. He said Stutzman resigned due to personal reasons.
The caucus will take place in the Claypool Lions Building on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 6 p.m.
Eligible members of the caucus, by statutory definition, are the Republican Precinct committee members who have served continuously from 30 days prior to the date of the start of the caucus.
The Clay Township trustee shall be elected by secret ballot of the majority of members of the voting caucus to fill the vacancy in the office. Candidates must reside in Clay Township and be a Republican in good standing.
Declarations of Candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with Ragan no later than 72 hours prior to the start of the caucus.
Eligible candidates will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address the voting caucus.
