The Kosciusko County Chapter of the American Red Cross is looking for new volunteers to assist in the delivery of services throughout Kosciusko County. There are a variety of opportunities for people to serve their community through the Red Cross. With a mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies, volunteers are needed to help families after a fire or other disaster. Other volunteers are needed to assist with blood drives, work with local military and their families, offer clerical support and to provide a variety of other programs. Some training may be needed for certain programs and will be provided at no cost. For most of the volunteer positions all that is needed are both time and a desire to help your friends and neighbors in Kosciusko County. The chapter invites people to a meeting for anyone who is willing to consider participating in the local American Red Cross. Various opportunities will be described and questions will be answered. Upcoming projects will be discussed and volunteer applications will be available. This meeting will begin Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the chapter at 320 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw. Call and register at 574-267-5244. Materials and refreshments will be provided. For more information on the American Red Cross, visit http://www.koscoredcross.org
