Ralph E. Hyde, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 6:34 a.m. Oct. 31, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born March 26, 1934, in Cannelton, to Ralph and Thelma Dunlevy Hyde. On Jan. 23, 1960, in Fort Wayne, he married Mary A. Guiff, who survives in Warsaw. He graduated from Cannelton High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology in 1958 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He worked for U.S. Steel, Gary, before moving to Warsaw in 1965. He then worked for Donnelley and Sons Inc., Warsaw, until his retirement. Also surviving are three children: R. Patrick (and spouse Shirley) Hyde, Warsaw, and Elizabeth (and spouse George) Wray and Daniel (and spouse Jayne) Hyde, all of Fort Wayne; one sister, Mary Howell, Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Julia. He was loved and cherished. His life will be celebrated privately at a later date.
