The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office is warning local businesses to avoid accepting checks from a Warsaw man.
Christopher J. Creekmore, of Lakeshore Drive, Warsaw, has written more than 20 checks on two accounts that have been returned. All the returned checks are stamped with a note that the accounts were closed.
The majority of the checks were written since April, but some date back to late 2004.
Currently, there are seven active warrants out for Creekmore's arrest, but officials have been unable to locate him. Creekmore is a 34-year-old man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 205 pounds.
