Pro-Life Music Festival Saturday At Fairgrounds

Posted

Christian rock 'n' rollers will be trekking to the Warsaw fairgrounds Saturday for a concert to benefit pregnancy support centers and other pro-life organizations in northern Indiana.

The Pro-Life Music Festival will offer music and fun. Five nationally known Christian rock bands will perform live on stage at the fairgrounds.

The gate opens at 3 p.m., with music beginning at 3:40 p.m. Free T-shirts and CDs will be given away randomly at the stage at 3:30 p.m. for early arrivals.

Local Christian band The Channelsurfers will perform first. Satellite Soul, a roots-oriented rock band from Kansas, will be the second performers.

The second half of the show will kick-off with Bleach. The five-member band from Kentucky and Indiana has two CDs on the market. Their third will be released in November.

Tiffany Arbuckle is the lead singer and songwriter for the fourth band, Plumb. Their first album had a very aggressive rock sound while their second album is more pop-oriented.

Closing out the festival will be the Atlanta-based band, The Waiting. In 1998, they toured extensively throughout the United States with the Newsboys.

Advance tickets are $13. All net proceeds will go to the pro-life organizations.

Tickets can be purchased at: In the Garden, Warsaw; The Herald, Winona Lake; The Anchor Room, Fort Wayne; The Provident, Goshen; The Christian Light, Nappanee. Tickets also can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event for $16 each. A group rate is available for $11 each for 15 or more tickets.

A 24-foot climbing wall will be on hand for those seeking a little adventure for $5. Food and beverage also will be available for purchase.
