Prep Roundup: Madelyn Ray Leads Lady Tigers To Win

PLYMOUTH – Madelyn?Ray medaled with a score of 43 as the Warsaw girls golf team defeated Plymouth 184-218 Wednesday at Pretty Lake Golf?Club.

Grayson Kilburn carded a 45 for the Lady Tigers (7-1, 1-0 Northern Lakes Conference), while Izzy Ray shot a 46, Julia Hildebrand recorded a 50 and Miriam Hadd posted a 59.

Warsaw’s JV squad had a team score of 201.

Anna Morgan and Delaney Byron shot 49s for the JV Lady Tigers, while Marie Frazzetta had a 50, Sydney Lancaster recorded a 53 and Izzie Vantwoud carded a 64.

Warsaw will be back in action today against NorthWood and Goshen at 5 p.m. at McCormick Creek Golf Course.



Lady Warriors Fall To

NLC Rivals

MIDDLEBURY?– Belle Brunner shot a 46 as the?Wawasee girls golf team lost to two teams in a three-team match Wednesday at Meadow Valley Golf Club.

The Lady Warriors compiled a team score of 193, while NorthWood shot a 167 and Northridge had a 175.

Jadison?Rostochak scored a 47 for Wawasee (5-4, 0-2 Northern Lakes Conference), while Lesley Tayagua and Taylor Cripe scored 50s and Valerie Haessig carded a 61.

 Triton Drops Match To Marshall County Foe

PLYMOUTH – Alysha May shot a 58 as the Triton girls golf team lost to Bremen, 204-245, Wednesday at Swan Lake Resort.

Maddie Ritchison shot a 61 for Triton (3-7), while Delanie Groves carded a 62 and Samantha Edington had a 64.

Tippecanoe Valley had two golfers compete at the match. Cheney Canada shot a 62, while Sara Kelly carded a 67.

Valley will play in a match with Whitko, Manchester and North Miami today at Sycamore Golf Club.



Knox Netters Beat Triton

BOURBON – Carter Kuntz and Chase Butler won at No. 1 doubles, but the Triton boys tennis team lost 4-1 Wednesday in a home match against Knox.

Kuntz and Butler topped?Knox’s Ricky Clark and Devan Himes 6-0, 6-0.

The Trojans are 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the Hoosier North Conference.

Triton lost 3-1 in the JV match.



Lady Wild Cats Fall To Whitley County Rival

SOUTH?WHITLEY – The Whitko volleyball team lost in three games Wednesday at Churubusco.

Kristina Slater tallied 18 digs for the Lady Wildcats, while Mahkinsey Myers registered four assists.



Wayne Generals Blank Whitko Netters

SOUTH?WHITLEY – The Whitko boys tennis team was shut out 5-0 Wednesday in a home match against?Fort Wayne Wayne.

Four of the five matches went to the third set. The Wildcats are 1-1.
