ELKHART – Kennedy Lauck and Kacy Bragg were forces at the net in the?Warsaw volleyball team’s 3-0 shutout Wednesday at Elkhart Memorial.
The Lady Tigers (10-2) won the Northern Lakes Conference match 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.
Bragg posted eight blocks up front, while Lauck added six.
Lauck also tallied eight kills, while Bragg registered 28 assists and six digs.
Warsaw’s Betty Barnett had eight kills, while Katie Swanson and Erin Peugh each recorded six kills.
Kylie Smith had 15 digs for the?Lady Tigers, while Liz Schmidt had five digs.
Manchester Spikers Win Over Wawasee
NORTH?MANCHESTER – The?Manchester volleyball team won 3-1 Wednesday in a home match against Wawasee.
Madison Simmons had 20 kills, 16 digs and four aces for the?Lady Warriors, while Brooke Heche tallied 18 digs and Petyon?Rookstool recorded 16 digs.
Elizabeth Kleopfer registered 22 assists for?Wawasee, which will face Plymouth today in a home match.
Wawasee Blanked By Culver
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee boys soccer team had seven shots on goal but lost 3-0 to Culver on Wednesday in a home match.
Evan Dippon made nine saves in the net for Wawasee (2-5).
“(The) score doesn’t represent the fight we had with Culver,” said Wawasee coach Jordan Sharp. “The game could have ended with (us) up by three. We created many chances and had great composure and intensity throughout the match.
The Warriors won the JV match, 3-2.
Triton Tennis Match Suspended
BOURBON – The Triton boys tennis team’s home match against Plymouth on?Wednesday was suspended by rain.
Triton lost at No. 3 singles and is down 1-0 in the match. The Trojans trail in every other match, including the two JV matches.
The makeup date is to be announced.
Tigers Topped By Redhawks
The Warsaw boys tennis team won at No. 1 doubles, but fell 4-1 Tuesday to visiting Northern Lakes Conference foe Goshen.
Spencer Britton and Nolan Knight teamed up at No. 1 doubles to win 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).
Warsaw won the JV match 5-0. Hayden Anderson won 8-2 at No. 1 singles, while Garrett Rodgers won 8-5 at No. 2 singles and Trey Williams pulled out the 8-3 win at No. 3 singles.
Warsaw’s No. 1 doubles squad of Zachary Nicholas and Harrison Lewis won 8-2, while Carter Schuh and Nick?Rata won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles.
