MILFORD - Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a Milford woman believed missing since Jan. 15.
Kathy Vroman, 48, of 105 N. Maple St., Milford, was reported missing by her husband of five years, William Vroman. He told Milford police that he dropped his wife at work at the Country Car Co., 615 S. Higbee St., Milford, at 9 a.m. Jan. 15 and the owner of the business told police the woman left for home from the car sales lot at 12:30 p.m. that day.
Milford Town Marshal Dave Hobbs said today it is unknown whether foul play is involved in the woman's disappearance or if she left the area of her own free will. The Vromans, who moved to the area from New York, reportedly lived in Milford about two weeks and lived in the Goshen/Elkhart area since August. Hobbs said he is concerned because Vroman hasn't contacted any family members with whom she usually keeps in touch.
At the time Kathy Vroman was last seen, she was driving a 1986 blue Chevrolet Astro van with an Indiana dealer plate 5633M2, sales information on the windshield, a Country Car Co. plastic license plate on the front and a business sticker on the rear door. She put gas in that vehicle at the Stop & Go in Milford, where she was seen between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the 15th.
Vroman is described as 5 feet tall, 138 pounds, with dark brown hair and green eyes. She was wearing a blue denim coat and brown hiking boots.
Anyone with information as to Kathy Vroman's whereabouts is asked to contact the Milford Police Department at 658-4941 or any law enforcement agency.
