SYRACUSE - The death of a 17-month-old Saturday in Syracuse is under investigation by the Syracuse Police Department.
Emergency crews were called at 5:07 p.m. Saturday to the Michael Acton residence, where Alexis Nicole Acton was reportedly unresponsive inside a car at the residence.
Personnel with Syracuse Emergency Medical Services attempted to resuscitate the toddler and transported her to Goshen General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police provided no information as to why the child was in the car.
The death has been ruled accidental, but the case remains under investigation.
