A wanted Warsaw man who led police in a pursuit Thursday picked up three additional charges when he was taken into custody.

Daniel Craig Holbrook, 24, of 920 Anchorage Road, lot number unavailable, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 8:21 p.m. Thursday. Holbrook was wanted on warrants for felony failure to appear on charges stemming from February for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of narcotics, all Level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle having never received a license, both Class C misdemeanors. Police charged him with fleeing law enforcement with a vehicle, a Level 6 felony, and misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle without a license and possession of paraphernalia after Thursday’s incident.

According to Warsaw Police Department Det. and Public Information Officer Brad Kellar, a WPD patrolman observed a gray 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan in the area of Argonne Road and Market Street with false and fictitious registration. The driver of the van failed to stop for the officer and the pursuit began along Parker Street. The van then traveled west on U.S. 30 to the area of CR 200W, where officers attempted a rolling roadblock.

“It was unsuccessful at that time, but caused the suspect to turn onto 200 West,” Kellar said.

The pursuit continued along Fox Farm Road, then west on West Old 30.

“Another rolling roadblock was attempted in the area of 200 North and 600 West, and this time it was successful,”?Kellar said. “Once the vehicle was stopped, a felony stop was initiated and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.”

Kellar said officers located additional drug paraphernalia in the vehicle while preparing to tow it from the scene.

No injuries or damage to property occurred during this incident.

WPD was assisted by the Winona Lake Police Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police.

Holbrook is being held without bond.
