Last month, Virginia Slone failed to appear at the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission meeting, so her petition was tabled.
Wednesday, Slone's petition to rezone property from commercial to an agricultural district met with approval by the plan commission. The property is on the south side of Pierceton on Ind. 13.
For rezonings, the plan commission is only a recommending body to the county commissioners. The commissioners will hear Slone's petition Aug. 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the county courthouse.

Approved the final plat for Jim Stouder's one-plat subdivision, off U.S. 30, between U.S. 30 and CR 100S, Warsaw.
Approved to recommend Dave Carey's petition to rezone property from residential to commercial. The two platted lots are on East Brook Drive, North Webster. The North Webster town council will hear Carey's petition for final approval Aug. 13 at the town council meeting. Final approval for rezonings within the town limits of North Webster are heard by the town's council.
Approved Duane Bartels' petition to rezone property from an agricultural to a residential district. The approximately one-acre property is on EMS T 49 Lane, on Tippecanoe Lake. The petition will be heard by the commissioners for final approval Aug. 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the county courthouse.
Voted to recommend to the commissioners that Devon Hochstetler's rezoning petition from an agricultural to an agricultural II district be denied. The property is on CR 700W, Nappanee.
