PIERCETON – A Pierceton woman was arrested after police found items used to manufacture methamphetamine in her home.
According to an affidavit filed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, an Indiana State Police officer spoke with a woman who said she had received information that her daughter, Dylan Nikole Bowser, 22, Warsaw, was living at a Pierceton address with her new boyfriend and that the two were manufacturing meth.
Police later entered the Pierceton residence, located the couple and conducted a protective sweep, also finding items used to produce meth.
The officers obtained a warrant and searched the residence. In the bedroom closet in a plastic tote, officers found a metal spoon with a white residue that tested positive for meth, a hypodermic needle, a red and black torch and two smoking devices. In the kitchen, officers found drain cleaner, coffee filters, four pieces of aluminum foil that tested positive for meth, a syringe casing with an orange cap and a smoking pipe that also tested positive for meth.
In the basement, officers found drain opener, thinning solvent and two plastic bags that contained a white sludge with a hose coming out of them. Both tested positive for hydrogen chloride gas. Officers also located a clear plastic bottle that contained a gray sludge with black flakes that tested positive for ammonia – all ingredients used to make a one-pot meth lab.
Bowser was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of two or more chemical reagents or precursors with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. There was no bond set.
