PIERCETON – The Pierceton Town Council, as well as the town’s park board, are moving toward locking the town’s skate board park at night. After complaints by a resident who lives nearby, the police department got keys to the park from the street department to lock up the park at night. The resident who previously brought his concerns about the skate park to the board presented a petition Monday night. He was told the board would look at it, but was asked to get addresses and phone numbers of those who signed it. Pierceton Town Marshal Tim Sammons said the recent DARE graduation was a success and thanked Paragon Medical for helping with the costs of t-shirts. Sammons also told the board that a triathlon will use Pierceton Road July 25.
