PIERCETON - Groundbreaking for the Pierceton Medical Clinic will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
All Pierceton residents are invited to the ceremony at the site, located on U.S. 30 next to Paragon Medical Group Inc. The new clinic will be part of the Whitley Memorial Hospital/Parkview Health System.
"We are excited about the culmination of the planning phase of this project and the beginning of the actual building process," said William Andreas, community relations manager at WMH.
The general contractor for the project is D&C Construction, South Whitley.
The 1,900-square-foot structure will be a ranch-style brick building. Construction is expected to be completed late this summer with a pricetag of nearly $250,000.
