Pierceton PNC Branch To Be Consolidated with Warsaw

PIERCETON – The Pierceton branch of PNC Bank will close in April and be consolidated with a Warsaw location.
Consolidation of the 111 First St. branch in Pierceton with the Warsaw branch at 3354 Lake City Highway will take effect April 19, Amy Vargo with media relations for the Pittsburgh-based bank said this morning.
Vargo said the company will do its best to relocate Pierceton employees to the new location, but did not have specifics.
Employees at the Pierceton and Warsaw branches declined to comment.
The Pierceton branch was formerly a National City Bank before PNC’s 2008 acquisition of the company.
PNC has consolidated a number of locations nationally in recent months. Vargo said the company is constantly looking at its branch network and evaluating how to best serve customers.
“The bottom line is, today, people are using our branches very differently,” Vargo said.
Customer accounts will be automatically transferred to the Warsaw branch, she added, and said the Pierceton staff will be able to answer customers’ questions.
