PIERCETON – Fireworks caused an accidental fire to a trailer Christmas morning. Occupants were home at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported. According to Warsaw Fire Dept. Lt. Nate Iden this morning, the fire at a trailer in lot 30 of a mobile home park at 3104 E. Wooster Road was called in at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, firefighters found the underside of the trailer on fire, including the insulation. The Warsaw Fire Dept. cleared the scene at about 1:57 a.m., according to Iden. Names of the homeowners and occupants were not available Squad 70 investigated the fire. Gordon Baker said the fire investigation team found fireworks were involved, but said it was an accidental fire. Baker estimated the fire damage to be about $5,000, but because it was an older home, it is considered a total loss.
