Petro's GMC to Become Warsaw Buick GMC

Posted
Owners Doug McKibben and Ted Nine are both excited to enter the Warsaw market.

McKibben owns dealerships including Glenbrook Dodge in Fort Wayne. Nine’s family formerly owned Nine Ford in Bremen.

The two men recently purchased Petro’s GMC and are turning it into Warsaw Buick GMC.

Nine, who also will serve as the general manager, said their goal is to find a way for anyone who walks in to get a car.

McKibben said the inventory at the dealership will increase and will include all sorts of late model vehicles as well as Buick and GMC products.

“With Ted growing up in the area, he told me what a great community Warsaw was,” said McKibben. “So we decided we wanted to be in the community.”

Nine said the increased inventory was to ensure when someone came in, the dealership will have what the customer is looking for.

“The lot is going to be full. Not just of Buick GMC products, but all makes and models,” said McKibben.

There are currently five sales staff with additions to come. Eighteen employees work in the service and body shop.

Nine said Warsaw Buick GMC will repair any vehicle regardless of what it is or where it was purchased.

Signage for the dealership is expected within the month.

Grand-opening events are also planned.

McKibben said the transition was made smoother because former owner Bob Petro was easy to work with.

“It was extremely smooth,” said McKibben. “Mr. Petro was very helpful in every way.”

The dealership is at 2777 N. Detroit St., Warsaw.
