Construction on the hospital, which is at 1355 Mariners Drive adjacent to Parkview Warsaw YMCA, began in late 2014. A community open house was in February, The $25 million, two-story, 86,000-square-foot health complex includes 24/7 emergency room services and a full-service ER including a helipad for medical transport; an outpatient laboratory; diagnostic imaging with x-rays, CAT scans and ultrasounds; outpatient rehabilitation services; family practice physician offices and services. Mike Packnett, president and CEO of Parkview Health, and Scott Gabriel, president of Parkview Whitley and Parkview Warsaw, are among the officials who attended. Packnett said the hospital has looked at the opportunity for the past 10 years to locate to Warsaw. “We have talked to so many leaders here over that time and we’ve tried to understand how we could better serve the area and we wanted to plan really well on how to serve this area,” Packnett said. “It has been a great reception here so far as we have opened some of our services over the last couple of months,” he also said. Gabriel said phase one of the project opened in January which was the physicians moving into the building. Phase two in February was when outpatient services opened that includes lab, radiology and physical therapy. The final phase is the emergency room opening today. “We are excited to introduce the Parkview brand to this community. We have a lot of folks in this community who have sought out Parkview in other communities and have asked us to have a presence here,” Gabriel said. Rob Parker, chamber president, welcomed Parkview Warsaw to the community. “One component of our mission at the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce is to grow our mission and add to its diversity. Attracting new businesses is obviously important to that mission and this great 86,000-square-foot facility and the $20-plus million dollars that went into this project are a great investment into our community,” Parker said. Dave Haist, Parkview Health Board of Directors president, said the complex is unique. “Parkview has invested more than $20 million into the facility and the design is really becoming a standard for Parkview designs elsewhere,” Haist said.
