Parks Board Holds Public Meeting On Greenway Project

Posted

Andy McCleary, activities director for Warsaw Parks Board, said the public is encouraged to attend the Warsaw Parks Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. March 21 at the NYE Youth Cabin.

The board will be discussing the Lake City Greenway Project.

"The Greenway Project is a multi-jurisdictional path used for biking, walking, jogging and cross-country skiing. It's a recreational trail," McCleary said at an earlier meeting.

McCleary said the trail proposed is an eight- to nine-mile trail starting where the old Chicago Boys Club used to be. The trail will meet up with Southtown Estates and go through Winona Lake and the city of Warsaw. It will continue out on West Center Street, through the City-County Athletic Center and to the Chinworth Bridge.

McCleary and board members welcome comments from the public.
