Our Father's House has seen a significant increase in people visiting its food pantry and using its lunch services.
Roz Morgan, Our Father's House founding director, said they normally see a decrease in March and April in people seeking food assistance, but instead saw an increase that has continued."We are serving 75 to 92 meals a day in our dining room when the largest number we usually serve is 70 meals a day," Morgan said.
Our Father's House serves lunch Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to low-income families.
Morgan said she thinks high gas and food prices, and people being laid off, have contributed to seeing more people using its services. She said donations are needed.
People can donate food items at Our Father's House, 401 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
