Staff Report-
Governor Mitch Daniels will be in Warsaw this afternoon as OrthoPediatrics Corp. announces the addition of 75 jobs.
OrthoPediatrics Corp., which produces orthopedic products for children and small adults, currently employs about 26 workers. The added jobs will quadruple the company's size by 2012. All the jobs added will be in the Warsaw area, and will include engineering, research, development and managerial positions.
Daniels and executives from the company will make the official announcement today at 201 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
In January, OrthoPediatrics introduced its first device, a hollow screw to treat fractures in children and small-stature adults.
The company plans to launch a line of stainless steel plates and screws to treat lower-leg deformities later this year. In the future, the company will produce joint replacements for children with rheumatoid arthritis.
