NORTH MANCHESTER – An Indianapolis man was found dead after his vehicle left the road Sunday afternoon.
James E. Hoover, 84, veered off the south side of Ind. 13N for unknown reasons at about 3:31 p.m. Sunday, according to the North Manchester Police Department. His vehicle struck a mailbox and traffic barriers before coming to rest on the railroad track embankment.
Hoover was pronounced dead at the scene.
North Manchester police were assisted by North Manchester and Chester Township fire departments, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Wabash County coroner, Lifemed Ambulance Service and Wabash County Emergency Management.
