PIERCETON - One person was jailed and another is being sought after a Saturday evening incident that resulted in one person being stabbed and another battered.
According to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, a 17-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen and a male subject was battered. No victim names were released.
The incident occurred when three males and a female arrived at the Regency Estates residence for an unknown reason and a physical confrontation took place.
As a result of this case, Maximiano R. Alvarado, 35, of 3280 U.S. 30E #56, Pierceton, was charged with battery and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail, where bond was set at $500.
The name of the suspect in the stabbing is known to police, but the man has not yet been located.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Pierceton Police Department. The matter remains under investigation.
