A man trying to hold on to drywall on the top of his vehicle led to another man suffering a possible broken arm. Kosciusko County Sherriff’s Department deputy Jeff Clark responded to an accident on Crystal Lake Road Friday. Christopher Konkle, age and address not provided, was driving a Ford Crown Victoria heading eastbound with three to four sheets of drywall on the roof of the car, according to information provided by KCSD Public Information Officer Chad Hill. The drywall sheets started shifting, and when Konkle allegedly tried to grab them, Konkle’s vehicle went left of the center road line and collided with a Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Jose Reyes, age and address not provided. Reyes’ vehicle landed on its side in the ditch. He had to be extricated from the truck by removing the windshield and suffered a possible broken arm. Konkle was not injured in the collision. No further information was provided as of press time Friday night.
