A Warsaw man was arrested early Sunday after Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers raided an apartment and found an active meth lab. Acting on a tip, drug task force officers converged on an apartment at 1506 Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw, just before 2 a.m., where they found a man standing on a front sidewalk. The man - 36-year-old Michael A. Vining, of 3580 S. Palestine Lane, Warsaw - opened the apartment for officers, where they turned up a one-pot methamphetamine lab active in the home, according to Sgt. Chad Hill of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. Vining was arrested on preliminary charges of felony manufacturing methamphetamine, as well as for a warrant on a civil matter. He was booked into Kosciusko County Jail and held in lieu of a $27,000 bond. Task force officers called in the Indiana State Police Clandestine Team to process the lab. It was unclear who was leasing the apartment the lab was found in. The Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department assisted the task force in the raid and seizure.
