FORT WAYNE – As a follow up to the Tools For Schools Collection drive that Old National Bank conducted earlier this year, which saw nearly 19,000 school supplies collected to help 62 different organizations, the bank announced the launch of a phase two Tools For Schools Grant Promotion which will award up to $19,000 to schools within the bank’s communities. During the month of September, the bank will offer the community the chance to vote for their favorite school to win a $1,000 Tools for Schools grant. Voting runs through Sept. 30. Fourteen $1,000 grants will be awarded, one in each of Old National Bank’s regions. As a bonus, if the bank receives 10,000 Facebook “likes” by Sept. 30, the school with the most overall votes gets a $5,000 Tools for Schools Grant, according to the announcement. Votes will be collected at www.oldnational.com/toolsforschools. From this page, voters can select their state and city, then their favorite school. A list of eligible schools has been pre-populated to make the voting process as easy as possible, the announcement states. Eligible schools include public and non-public schools within the Old National footprint that are listed on state’s department of education site. The community can vote as often as they like for their school of choice, but only one vote per day.
