National Public Radio will host its show "From The Top" at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake, Saturday.
"We're very excited to be part of this event. It should be a great experience for all those who can attend," Brent Wilcoxson, Winona Restoration manager, said.
The radio show features live musicians under the age of 18 performing classical music. An estimated 350,000 people will be tuning in to listen to the national broadcast. Tickets are available through WBNI Public Radio.
Winona Town Council approved Jennifer Ortega to prepare artwork for a Fourth of July commemorative print. Ortega's work will appear in posters available for sale in the near future.
The council also approved a subrecipient agreement with Housing Opportunities of Warsaw Inc. The town intends to apply for a grant from the Indiana Housing Finance Authority and cooperate with HOW in the implementation of planning and housing programs.
Also approved in the meeting was the purchase of a used copier for the town hall. The town council agreed to spend $9,532 for the equipment from the VanAusdall company.
"This copier will cover all of our needs. The money that we save in the long run during the printing operations of the copier will help to offset the initial price," Craig Allebach, town coordinator, said.
Reports from the town engineer on the Grace Wooster Road project and Kings Highway project were reviewed. Both projects are in beginning stages and have yet to start construction.
Town attorney Jim Walmer discussed Winona Lake's efforts on collecting right of ways along CR 250E. The town hopes to begin improvements on the road by spring 2006.
