NORTH WEBSTER - Petals on Main, North Webster’s only floral shop, has new owners and a new manager.
Owners are Jim and Karen Tranter. The manager is Jen Dohan, who is also a floral designer with several years of experience.
“We are a full floral shop. I don’t think people know that,” said Dohan.
Like former owners Sue and Steve Ward, the new owners offer flowers, plants and gifts, similar to those previously sold at Sue’s Creations.
“We have fresh floral arrangements and a lot of new live plants,” she said. “We have two bouquet carts. We do a lot of funerals and deliver to funeral homes.”
The shop carries fresh-cut flowers delivered directly from suppliers.
“We take really good care of them,” she said.
Dohan said the location is ideal for customers because it is located on Ind. 13 in downtown North Webster.
“I love the location,” she said.
Dohan said there are advantages to shopping locally, including saving money rather than buying online.
“You can save money and get way more,” Dohan said. “You get a vase and an arrangement, for instance. Second, we can save customers time, too.”
The shop has two floral designers and another employee with extensive plant experience.
“We have really good, experienced employees,” Dohan said.
Petals on Main carries a variety of sympathy gifts, including wind chimes. The store delivers mainly to funeral homes in Kosciusko County, but also to Noble and Whitley counties.
It also carries balloons, gifts, stuffed animals, lake decor, lanterns and wind chimes.
