NORTH MANCHESTER - A 16-year-old North Manchester man was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he was listed in critical condition, Friday, after his vehicle collided with a car driven by Christopher Lightle, 47, Claypool.
North Manchester police did not release the minor's name.
Police reported the 16-year-old driver was northbound on East Street when he collided with Lightle's car at the intersection of East Street and Ind. 13. According to police, Lightle was eastbound on Ind. 13 and the 16-year-old driver failed to yield right of way.
The accident occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Friday. Police reported Lightle complained of pain in his chest and legs, but refused medical assistance at the scene.
According to police, at press time, the accident was still under investigation.
