National Day of Prayer To Be Held in May at Rodeheaver

WINONA LAKE – Pray for America is the theme for this year's National Day of Prayer. This year’s observance will be May 2 at noon at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake. Dr. Larry McCall, pastor of Christ’s Covenant Church, will deliver the keynote speech. McCall is a graduate of Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary and has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Besides being a pastor and teacher he has authored several books. McCall is married to Gladine, has three married children and four grandchildren. Representatives from various sectors of the community will lead prayers on different topics: Education – Randy Polston, former principal and Warsaw School Board member. Government – Monica Boyer, administrative assistant of psychology at Grace College, also involved in local politics. Family – Jeff Pfiefer, pastor of Family and Community at Warsaw Community Church. Ministry and Missions – Angie Wood, Heartline pregnancy director. Military – Jim Hoevener, who has served in the reserves and was called up during recent wars. Hoevener also has a son in the military. Media – Roger Grossman, sports director, WRSW. The musicians this year will be Richard Dick on the piano and The Chain Gang Quartet.
