A Warsaw man decided to take a bicycle joy ride through town this morning in the buff.
Sterling Thomas Howard, 43, of 805 E. Fort Wayne St., is charged with public indecency/indecent exposure and resisting/fleeing law enforcement. He is being held in Kosciusko County Jail on $250 bond.
A Warsaw police officer on patrol reported he saw Howard riding a bike east on Clark Street at 2 a.m. As the officer followed the bike, he realized Howard was not wearing a shirt. As he pulled closer, and tried to stop Howard, he realized Howard was not wearing any clothing.
Howard reportedly rode down Fort Wayne Street toward his home, refusing to stop when the police officer turned on his lights and siren. Howard was trying to get into his house when the officer finally tackled and handcuffed him. Police allowed Howard to get dressed before taking him to jail.
According to police reports, Howard said he was riding naked "just for kicks."
