The North Manchester Farmers Market will open for business May 24. Vendors and customers will gather at the Riverbridge Electric parking lot at the intersection of Main and Wayne streets. The market runs Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon from May 24 through Oct. 25. The Wednesday market begins June 18 and will be open each Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Customers can expect a variety of fruits and vegetables in season, as well as frozen meats, eggs, honey, maple syrup, plants, flowers, popcorn, handicrafts, soaps and lotions, baked and preserved goods and artistic expressions. In addition to already having WIC-approved vendors the market is also preparing to accept SNAP vouchers.
