A high-speed pursuit involving two Ohio men that started in Allen County ended for one in Pierceton Monday morning.
Indiana State Police said that two men, Travis D. Magers, 20, and Scott A. Gompf, 20, both of Tiffin, Ohio, were first spotted speeding on two motorcycles near the western Allen County border.
Magers was clocked at 143 mph at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Ind. 205 as Magers headed southbound on Ind. 205.
Magers went through South Whitley, then entered Kosciusko County at CR 675 where police lost sight of him.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Magers left the motorcycle he was on at CR 400S near Pierceton, then went to a residence nearby.
Magers told a woman who answered the door at the residence that he and his girlfriend got into a fight, and he asked to use the phone.
The woman then called KCSD and officers Rick Shepherd and Floyd Knafel arrived to the residence.
Magers confessed to Shepherd and Knafel that he was part of the high speed chase.
Gompf was caught by Whitley County police.
Six officers from KCSD, along with Pierceton police, aided the pursuit of the two men.
The two motorcycles the men were riding were reported stolen from a Fremont, Ohio, dealership early Monday morning.
Both men are currently being held in Whitley County Jail.
