NAPPANEE - A Nappanee man suffered a broken leg and a broken arm Thursday afternoon when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a pickup near Nappanee.
Ruben R. Chupp, 49, Beechwood Drive, was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment after the 2:42 p.m. accident at the intersection of Ind. 19 and CR 1350N.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Chupp was northbound on Ind. 19 approaching CR 1350N when a pickup driven by Alberto Bonilla, 36, North CR 1050W, Etna Green, pulled into his path.
Chupp, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact.
Bonilla apparently stopped at the stop sign for westbound traffic on CR 1350N and didn't see Chupp's approaching motorcycle. He then pulled onto Ind. 19 and collided with Chupp.
